Balkans Policy Research Group is organising the Conference “Western Balkans in the new European Security Order”, which will take place on 25 and 26 October, in Prishtina, Kosovo.

Key unresolved political issues, coupled with a prolonged European perspective and an evolving European and international geopolitical and security environment, have made the Western Balkans region even more exposed. These challenges, now more than ever, require a proactive response, and not only at regional level, but also European.

The conference aims at better understanding today’s security challenges and discuss efforts to find solutions for the unresolved and critical questions that burden the whole region of South-East Europe.

The purpose of this conference is to build an important debate platform and discussion forum on important processes and agendas for the region, such as:

Security in the Western Balkans & Bilateral Relations
EU Perspective & Competing Agendas
Energy Security
Green & Connectivity

The “Western Balkans in the new European Security Order” Conference will bring together important policy actors from the region, the European Union and beyond, to shape debates and ideas for safer and more prosperous countries, societies, and the whole region of the Western Balkans.
